Welcome “New York Times” Readers

I Make It To The Big Time

Thanks for taking the time to search for my blog about my big trip! For those of you who don’t know, I got mentioned in today’s New York Times (with my photo!). If this is your first time here or you are a relatively new reader, I just wanted point out some things you can do on my site. In addition to actually reading the articles, I’ve set up some features that help you experience the trip with me. By clicking on the camera icon on each post or the polaroid photo in the corner, you can access my photo album. If you have Google Earth, you can follow my route by clicking on the link next to the spinning globe on the left. By clicking on the “more” link in the “Author” box on left, you can get some more history of my trip, as well as my favorite links. Finally, on the bottom left of the sidebar are some links to news articles on the national parks. Enjoy my site, and thanks for stopping by!
Ms. Bahney’s article is here, if you’re interested.

I have been following your journey only recently and I have to say I would love to be doing the same. The US is such a beautiful country. When and why are you heading to South America? I hope you will be posting there, too.

Congratulations, Jesse! I was in New York for the last few days (my brother got married Saturday night!), so I read the article in the free NY Times that the hotel provided. I’m looking forward to seeing some of your Alaska pictures and stories…
